Research has shown that around 1 in 10 people worldwide have a tattoo. Of those, 1 in 3 regret the tattoo. In the end, only 1 in 100 tattooed get their tattoo removed. At Solution Clinic, the newest PiQo4 laser is used to remove tattoos.
The light of the laser is absorbed by the pigment of the tattoo. When the beam of light is absorbed, heat is released and the pigment is broken down. The body then drains this through our natural drainage system.
Expected result
The result can be seen after a few weeks. Because we work with the latest PiQo4 laser which gives nano and pico pulses, any color tattoo can be treated. After each treatment, the tattoo will fade more and more. With this laser we are able to fully remove the tattoo, this will not leave a haze on the skin.
Number of treatments required
Depending on the tattoo there are 8 to 12 treatments needed to fully remove it. During the intake, the skin therapist talks more about the treatment specifically tailored to your situation.

Precaution
The skin cannot be tanned during the treatment process. The to be treated area cannot be exposed to sun or a sunbed for at least 6 weeks prior to the treatment. We recommend consistently applying sunscreen with SPF 30 or 50 to the area to be treated and/or covering the area.
During treatment
First your skin therapist will clean your skin, then the tattoo is treated. The light of the laser is absorbed by the pigment in the tattoo. When the light pulse is absorbed, heat is released and the pigment is broken down. The body dissolves this through our natural drainage system. The treated area first becomes white, this is a sign that the tattoo ink is being pulverized. At the same time, or a few minutes later, redness and swelling appear and disappear again after 30 to 60 minutes. In some cases, small dots of blood can appear. These small bleedings are innocent and heal quickly. Sometimes small blisters appear on the treated skin, these blisters contain clear tissue fluid. The blisters will dry by themselves and form a crust. It is better not to puncture them.
Aftercare
The skin will feel warm after the treatment. The skin remains red and swollen until about 2 to 5 days after the treatment. It is possible that crust or blistering occurs, this is part of the healing process. The healing process takes 7 to 10 days. If desired, the skin can be camouflaged with the Lycogel Breathable Camouflage or Tint. After approximately 1 week the skin is healed.
