Expected result
The skin takes about 6 months to do about the natural regeneration process after treatment. Only then will the final result be visible. However, after each treatment you will see more and more improvement after 2 to 3 weeks. Your skin is visibly getting younger and smoother.
Number of treatments required
The amount of treatments required with the fractional laser depends on the result you want. Also, the current state in which your skin is wrong is important to determine how many laser treatments will be approximately needed.
For visible improvement in skin texture and reduction of fine lines, you need an average of 3 treatments. Even after the first treatment you will see improvement in coarse pores and unevenness. Optimal results are achieved after 3 to 5 treatments with an interval of 4 to 5 weeks. However, the natural regeneration process lasts up to 6 months after treatment.

Precaution
Prior to a laser treatment, the skin therapist will prescribe a number of products available at the clinic to prepare the skin for the laser treatment. This may include a preparatory peeling. This preparatoir process ensures that the skin can be treated higher during the treatment and makes the laser penetrate deeper into the skin making this treatment more effective. This preparatoir process can be started in the summer months so that after the summer you are ready to start the laser treatments. A fractional laser treatment is most effective and safe on light skin. That is why we advise you not to expose the area to the sun or sunbed for at least 6 weeks prior to the laser treatment. We always advice to use sunscreen a with SPF 30-50.
During treatment
At the time of the treatment, it is important that the skin is clean, i.e. free of make-up and other cosmetic products. The skin therapist will clean the skin to remove any remaining residue. The skin therapist sets the laser and places the laser head on the skin and gives pulses on the whole area. With a fractional laser treatment, laser pulses are sent into the dermis. The fibroblasts in the dermis are stimulated to create new collagen, which results in skin renewal and tightening of the skin. A laser treatment with a fractional laser can be sensitive but is generally tolerable. During the treatment the skin is cooled by the integrated cooling tip and afterwards we cool the treated area with a cold pack.
Aftercare
Immediately after the treatment, redness and swelling can occur, depending on the settings of the parameters. The swelling decreases within a few hours and the redness will reduce within the next few days. You can resume your daily activities the same day. Your therapist will advise you to avoid the sun and protect your skin with SPF50 for a few days after the treatment.
